How to Get There
The museum is accessible by car, taxi, bus, or on foot. On foot, the museum is 20 minutes from Toyama Station Central Exit or about 15 minutes from the Toyama Station North Exit. By car or taxi, it's about three minutes from the North Exit.
Toyama's newest major attraction
In addition to works by 20th-century legends Picasso and Chagall, the diverse collection includes items such as posters and chairs. There's something here for everyone with even a passing interest in art and design.
Get the stunning views from the roof of the museum
Come and experience the incorporation of Toyama's geography into the museum architecture. You can view Kansui Park and the Tateyama Mountain Range from the roof. Head to the Onomatopoeia Rooftop and enjoy these sweeping vistas. Younger visitors will delight in a large and engaging play area, itself a work of art, with equipment designed by Sato Taku such as "Guru-guru" and "Uto-uto."
