How to Get There
You can reach Niigata Senbei Okoku by train or car. JR Niigata Station is the nearest major transport hub.
From Tokyo Station , take the JR Toki Shinkansen to Niigata Station. From there, change to the Hakushin line to Niizaki Station. Niigata Senbei Okoku is a 20-minute walk.
By car, Niigata Senbei Okoku is 20 minutes from Niigata Station or 15 minutes from Niigata Airport exit off the Nihonkai-Tohoku Expressway.
Get cracking on your own original recipe
At Niigata Senbei Okoku, you get to make senbei, create original senbei flavors, and watch professionals in the process of making thousands of crispy, flavorful rice crackers per day.
After choosing the rice cracker dough, you'll bake the dough on your own. You can also show your creativity by drawing a picture using soy sauce on your crackers. Apart from that, you can choose your favorite flavoring powders and make your original flavor of rice crackers.
The senbei you make will be packed in an inflatable bag so that it doesn't crumble during your travels.
