Everything you need for sightseeing along the Goishi Coast
The Goishi Coast Information Center is a base for sightseers with information and exhibits about the natural environment and tourism in Sanriku Fukko (reconstruction) National Park.
The information center is a resting point on the Michinoku Coastal Trail and serves as the reception for the nearby Goishikaigan Camping Ground. The staff can help you plan your trip in the area and give you information about local sightseeing spots and accommodations. An observation deck nearby overlooks the Goishi Coast's dramatic rock cliffs and the Pacific Ocean.
The Goishi Coast Information Center hosts events such as photo exhibitions, stargazing, visiting flower fields, and guided trail walking. The facility was built using local cedar trees and is environmentally friendly. It is equipped with solar panels for power and a wood biomass boiler for heating.
